2015 SOUTH BEND

With convention headquarters at the Inn at St. Mary's in South Bend, our members and guests were exposed to nearly 3 days of non-stop activities.

Thursday was spent touring Notre Dame University followed by a presentation of "Taxi Music". Of course there was lots of action with our Checkers in the parking lot.

Friday's highlights were a Checker Car Show open to the public at the Town & Country Mall and an afternoon tour of the AM General assembly plant where Hummers, MV-1's and Mercedes cars are built.

A lively Board meeting on Saturnday morning was followed by another Checker car show in the hotel parking lot. A bit later a Checker caravan brought us to the Studebaker Museum for a great chance to see the best that this car builder created from 1902 to 1967. Our annual banquet was held at the museum immediately after it closed for the day.

Sunday morning brought all of us together again at breakfast in the hotel and, as usual, in the parking lot for last minute discussions, photos and good-byes.

Many thanks go out to Zan and Tim Bower for planning and hosting this great event.
